Cheated from death for the second time...6 Muharram (2 Dis), 6 pm
There is no scary story in my life than being cheated from death twice as a passenger to a friend who rode the motorcycle. The difference is that in 1993, my friend was in panicky state after seeing a lorry emerged at the corner. Both of us thrown down the cliff. Fortunately, I only had a fracture on the left knee and few bruises here and there. My friend escaped unhurt. I remember I was walking up in the sky, before the seven steps I heard my name being called up, only then I woke up from a short faint. It had taken me to September this year to end my phobia riding a motorcycle which I recovered after visiting Vietnam in that month. Since then, I had started to feel the fantastic feeling of riding a motorcycle again.
Today, December 2nd 2011 at 6 pm, after only three months ending the phobia, the nightmare happened again. After our badminton game, I rode with my friend to our hostel on his motorcycle. It was at the nick of time, near the roundabout at CIMB USM, a motorcycle hit us at the right. I hardly fought to save myself...I remember how my left leg like being tied to the paddle that I was dragged for more than five meters. i remember how the helmet saved my head from the fall but few cuts were found in my legs and body. I felt the pain in my head. Meanwhile after I completely disengaged from the motorcycle, my friend managed to control the motorcycle from falling. I immediately stood up and looked around. I felt dizzy but still looking for the rider who hit us. He was a first year male student from JB. I did not scold him, I just asked him how the accident took place. He looked scared and just said "I'm sorry bang." I did not say much. I let him go and ask him not to repeat his mistake. Before he left, he took his box that was installed at the back of the motor which was thrown away after hitting my back. At the hostel, I cleaned up the cuts in my hands, body and legs. Then, I took a panadol and went to sleep for 2 hours. Only after I woke up, I called my wife and told her what had happened to me. I told her I escaped with minor cut only. I didn't tell her my pain from the cuts and the internal injury.
I thank Allah for saving my life for the second time...I will be a better man from now on! I will make my hijrah... I need Allah's guidance to success in this journey.
